GA-EFB

Terms of use

Last updated 30 September 2026

These terms cover your use of GA-EFB, the electronic flight bag for Microsoft Flight Simulator, including the GA-EFB Launcher, the app and your GA-EFB account. GA-EFB is made by Leon Giscombe, a sole trader in England ("we", "us"). You can contact us at leontgiscombe@hotmail.com.

By installing or using GA-EFB you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. For flight simulation only

GA-EFB is made for use with flight simulators. Its weather, NOTAMs, charts, airspace, routes, fuel, weight and balance, performance and all other figures are for use in the sim. They aren't approved, certified or kept up to date for real aviation, and may be incomplete or wrong. You must never use GA-EFB to plan or fly a real aircraft, or for any real navigation.

2. Your licence

3. Free trial

Each account can try GA-EFB free for 7 days from the first time it's used. After that, a licence is needed to carry on using it. One trial per person, please: making extra accounts for more trials isn't allowed.

4. Buying a licence

Licences are sold for us by Stripe, through Stripe Managed Payments, with Stripe as the seller (the "merchant of record") for your purchase. Stripe takes your payment, charges any VAT or sales tax that applies, sends your receipt and handles refunds. Their terms also apply to the purchase. The price is shown before you pay. A licence is a one-off payment and includes updates to GA-EFB.

Your licence is tied to the GA-EFB account you buy it for: the one signed in when you buy from the Launcher or the app, or the one with the email address you give at the checkout. We may also give licence keys (for example as gifts), which tie a licence to the account they're entered in.

Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

5. Your account

You need a GA-EFB account to use GA-EFB. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what's done with your account. We may suspend or close an account, or cancel a licence, if it's used to break these terms (for example, by sharing a licence key), and we'll tell you why.

6. Updates and changes

GA-EFB updates itself. Updates may add, change or remove features. We'll keep GA-EFB working with the current version of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 for as long as we reasonably can, but we can't promise that it always will, as the sim and other services can change.

7. Other services

Some features use services run by others, such as weather, map, airspace and chart data, SimBrief, VATSIM and GSX. They're provided by those companies, under their own terms. Some need your own account or subscription, and they may change or stop without notice. We aren't responsible for them.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. GA-EFB isn't made, endorsed or supported by Microsoft, Asobo Studio or any of the other companies whose products it works with.

8. Our responsibility to you

If you're a consumer, you have legal rights, for example to digital content that's as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

Apart from those rights, GA-EFB is provided "as is". We aren't responsible for any loss that wasn't foreseeable, for any use of GA-EFB outside flight simulation, or for business losses. If we are responsible for a loss, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.

9. Ending

You can stop using GA-EFB at any time and ask us to delete your account. If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, your licence ends and you must stop using GA-EFB.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when GA-EFB changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Important changes will be shown in GA-EFB or on this website.

11. The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protection of the law where you live, and can bring a claim there.
